The strategic and operational direction of the group is guided by clear principles: long-term business continuity, responsible corporate governance, sustainable growth, innovative strength, and respectful treatment of people, the environment, and resources.
This Supplier Code of Conduct defines the binding minimum requirements for all suppliers, service providers, and business partners of Hailo Wind Systems GmbH & Co. KG. It is based on the corporate principles of the Joachim Loh Group and recognized international standards (including the UN Global Compact, ILO core labor standards, OECD Guidelines), as well as the requirements of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). The aim is to prevent human rights and environmental risks, create transparency, and promote continuous improvement.
By acknowledging this Code of Conduct, our suppliers commit to complying with the ESG requirements set out below, establishing appropriate due diligence processes, and passing these standards along their own supply chains, as well as supporting the objectives of the group. We expect our suppliers to engage in long-term, trustworthy, and sustainable cooperation.
2. Corporate Principles of the Joachim Loh Group as a Guiding Framework
The following principles of the Joachim Loh Group serve, among others, as the basis for this Supplier Code of Conduct.
2.1 Business Continuity and Sustainable Economic Practices
Suppliers act in a financially responsible manner. They ensure the conscious and sustainable use of financial and natural resources and comply with all applicable legal and ethical requirements. 2.3 Conduct Based on Christian Values
The Group is committed to a value-oriented understanding of humanity. Suppliers therefore commit to treating all people with respect and fairness and to upholding their dignity and rights. In addition, responsible use of resources is expected, as well as the assumption of social and societal responsibility.
2.4 Growth through Innovation and Personal Responsibility
Suppliers support innovation, quality, and sustainable development through the continuous improvement of their products, services, and processes. They promote creativity, responsible use of technology, and high quality and safety standards. At the same time, they contribute to the development of sustainable and future-oriented solutions within the supply chain.
3. Environmental Requirements
Suppliers are committed to the responsible use of the environment and natural resources. They comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulatory requirements and ensure that the necessary permits and documentation are always available. In addition, environmental risks within their own value chain must be systematically identified, avoided, and minimized. In particular, the requirements of EU regulations on conflict minerals throughout the supply chain must be observed, and compliance with the provisions of the REACH regulation and the RoHS directive must be ensured.
Furthermore, suppliers are expected to continuously reduce environmental impacts, by lowering CO₂ emissions, reducing energy consumption, and using resource-efficient technologies. Waste, chemicals, and hazardous substances must be handled and disposed of safely and in compliance with legal requirements.
Hailo Wind Systems GmbH & Co. KG also expects suppliers to protect natural resources such as water, soil, and biodiversity, and to avoid significant or irreversible environmental damage. Sustainable resource use as well as the promotion of recycling and circular economy principles are key components of responsible environmental management.

Respect for internationally recognized human rights is an essential part of cooperation with Hailo Wind Systems GmbH & Co. KG. Suppliers commit to excluding any form of child labour, forced labour, or human trafficking, and to ensuring that employment relationships are based solely on voluntary participation.
In addition, fair working conditions must be ensured. This includes compliance with statutory working hours, payment of appropriate remuneration, and the provision of legally mandated social benefits. All employees must be treated with respect and fairness.
Discrimination based on origin, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual identity, or any other personal characteristic is not tolerated. Suppliers respect employees’ freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining.
A safe and health-oriented workplace must be ensured through appropriate occupational health and safety measures, regular training, and preventive actions. Suppliers also assume social responsibility, promote their employees, and support the responsible use of resources.

In addition, suppliers commit to complying with all applicable competition and antitrust laws and to ensuring fair market practices. Confidential information as well as personal data must be adequately protected, and applicable data protection requirements must be observed.
Potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed openly and transparently. Suppliers shall establish appropriate due diligence and risk management processes to identify risks along the supply chain at an early stage and implement suitable preventive and remedial measures.
