The SSE 02 fall arrest device was specifically designed for use in energy infrastructure and buildings and meets the highest standards for safety and reliability.
Several independently operating safety mechanisms respond specifically to different loads and typical situations, as well as to misuse. Whether it’s incorrect positioning, unusual movements, or panic reactions—the SSE 02 detects critical moments and automatically activates the appropriate safety functions. At the same time, its well-thought-out design enables simple, intuitive handling and supports safe work in every situation.
Safety Comes First
The SSE 02 guided-type fall arrester was specifically developed to meet increased safety requirements and provides reliable protection against typical misuse and unexpected movements during climbing. Several independently acting safety mechanisms respond specifically in critical situations, providing additional protection in everyday use:
- Protection against “stripping off”
Vertical pressure on the housing activates the additional locking pawl - Protection against “falling backwards”
Horizontal pull on the main locking pawl triggers the fall arrest function - Protection against “leaning / gripping”
Horizontal pressure on the housing activates the additional locking pawl - Protection against incorrect attachment
A third tamper-resistant locking pawl operates horizontally and in an “overhead” position - One-handed attachment to the rope
Pivoting prism with increased clamping pressure and dual safety mechanism

The stainless-steel guide rope forms the basis of the SSE system and ensures stable and controlled guidance of the fall arrester along the entire climbing route. The coordinated rope tension and integrated guide elements ensure smooth operation and reliable performance in everyday use.
